Sports and athletics are a primary interest of mine in the field of photography. I have a particular interest in capturing the use of the human body as an art form, utilizing movements and gestures to tell a story, to convey an emotion, or to simply demonstrate a hard-earned feat. While I mostly photograph figure skaters, I have an appreciation for all sports in which the human body is pushed beyond the expectations of what a human body can do. Athletics, no matter how intricate the game, is the simplest and most human practice in which a person can reveal his or her own greatness and mastery.
